Business Name: RusticRoost
Business Owner:  Megan Ott
www.Facebook.com/MyRusticRoost

RusticRoost is my home based rustic craft business, introduced in July, 2011. From a very little age til now, I have attemped almost every craft: bead making, quilting, wood burning, glass painting, etc. Through it all and without even realizing, I began to build a brand of how I designed things: always a bit distressed, rustic, and something I could find from a small Texas decor store back home. My sister-in-law married in August with a rustic, country theme. I designed some of her decor and discovered my love for my 3 favorite materials: mason jars, burlap, and wooden frames. The rest, as they say, is history! RusticRoost was born and I started making rustic home decor. Slowly, I've added barbed-wire and burlap bow picture frames, rustic glam lanterns, custom burlap paintings, hand-painted redneck wine glasses, etc. I try to add new items every week. Most of what I sell is custom so that when people buy from RusticRoost, its something personal that has a story behind it; thats important to me.

Little h. was born in the spring of 2010 after a leap of faith grew into a business that has become a delightfully satisfying creative outlet for this stay at home mom of a spunky toddler. What began as a few tutus sold in a local toy store has now expanded to include a full website, a store on Etsy, a thriving custom order business, and several new and exciting products! Little h. offers: * Custom designed tutus in newborn through teen sizes using 100% USA made, flame-retardant tulle * Personalized reversible satin superhero capes with your child's initial (available in full size version or newborn photography prop size) * Adjustable size fabric crowns in boy and girl designs I am fortunate to be able to stay at home with my son Harrison (my "little h."!) but I love having an avenue to express my creative energy that lies outside my first and most important job as a mom.

My name is Sophie and I was born in Belgium (Europe). I moved to Colorado in 2000 with my husband and our 3 daughters. I love the outdoors and all kinds of sports. I started making jewelry for myself many years ago and quickly discovered that I have a passion for colors - textures - shapes. I particularly love Swarovski crystals. Swarovski crystals have a magical and sparkly quality to them that reflects the beauty of the natural world surrounding us. They can be found in many of my designs. I handcraft each piece of jewelry right here in my Colorado studio. I take pride in my designs. There is a story around every piece and the colors I choose. I believe that the things you wear can be an expression of who you are; they can make you feel good and brighten
your day.

Business Name: Sweet Whimsy
Business Owner:  Jan Ward
http://www.oursweetwhimsy.com

My crafting endeavor began in 2009, when I finally was "brave" enough to begin working for myself. Being a stay at home mom was rewarding, but I felt I lost my identity a bit and wanted to do something just for me. Since I'd been a crafter all my life it just seemed natural to follow my instincts and start a crafty business. Sweet Whimsy is the result! The main goal behind Sweet Whimsy has been two-fold: to offer low cost (mainly jewelry) creations to my customers and to use as many recycled items as I can to help minimize the carbon footprint left behind. The majority of what I create is done with recycled game pieces found at garage sales, thrift stores and antique stores. I make pendants using Scrabble tiles, dominoes, poker chips and bingo chips. I also use discarded bottle caps, pop tabs, candy wrappers, and bamboo place mat tiles. Not only do I use images purchased from graphic designers on my items, I also LOVE creating personalized jewelry using my customer's photographs.

Business Name: mon petit nid
Business Owner:  Sarah Preston

Mon Petit Nid is a french term meaning "My Little Nest". I chose this name for one reason only ~ I do everything with my family in mind. Whether it is in the kitchen baking a blueberry pie or making a Christmas card from my boys to their daddy, I do it all for my family & with lots of love. All for my little nest. The idea for Mon Petit Nid came about a year ago when I decided to make my own invitations, cupcake toppers, etc for my twin boys' first birthday party. I had always made my own invitations in
the past for things like our Halloween party, but never an entire party package! Some great reviews were given and after a long while of battling with myself over this, & with the support of my family & friends, I decided to move forward with my very own Etsy
shop! I will sell things such as thank you card sets, cupcake toppers, party invitations with their matching thank you cards, party packages that will include a special birthday hat, cake banners... Items that make any day spec

Business Name: Cute and Comfy Cushionknee
Business Owner:  Jan Baer
http://www.cuteandcomfycushionknee.com

As a first time mother to a preemie baby, I had to kneel down all the time. Whether it was changing him, calming him down when he was crying, stretching his legs, or just playing with him, the floor was his favorite. My knees were just not comfortable. Also, he loved baths and when bath time came around, again I was kneeling down to reach him in the tub. My knees were hurting me so much. I used the carpet or his towel, but it just wasn't comfortable. Thanks to my mom, she had a knee pad at her house and she said to try it... and it worked! Then I thought how cute it would be to have some fabric over it and make it stylish for the bathroom. I sewed some comfy fabric over it and have been using it for over 6 years. At first I was worried about it getting wet, but it's no problem at all. The fabric is cotton or polyester so it dries quickly and the knee cushion is water resistant. I also use my kneeling cushion at home when I am exercising (leg extensions, push ups) and even when I clean my floors/bathtub.
